The Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement (FGEIS) for the TOWN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN has been prepared by the Town Engineer along with input from the Town Planning Board. The FGEIS was written to respond to comments received as a part of the SEQR Environmental Quality Review Process. The Town Board received the FGEIS at the April 4, 2006 meeting and approved it for a 30 day public review and comment period. The preparation of the FGEIS is a part of the NYSDEC Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process which must be completed prior to consideration for ultimate adoption in accordance with Section 272-a of NYS Town Law. Comments on the Town Comprehensive Plan can be made to the Town Board during a public review and comment period for the FGEIS. ACTIVITES of the Town Master Plan Committee 2004-2005: The TOWN MASTER PLAN COMMITTEE has been meeting since April 2004 to develop this draft update to the Town Master Plan. This committee was formed at the request of the Town Planning Board to in 2004 to update the Town Master Plan (Comprehensive Plan).
